Contributor Cannot Download

Contributor downloads can be blocked by permissions, sensitive fields, or Wix data access.

The site owner may need to download files that contain sensitive fields. Contributor permissions cannot override that restriction.

Common Reasons​

  • The owner did not enable Allow downloading files for the contributor.
  • The file contains sensitive fields.
  • The contributor does not have access to one or more required Wix data areas.
  • The owner disabled contributor access.
  • Access verification expired or failed.

What to Do​

Ask the site owner to:

  • Check Contributor Access Settings.
  • Confirm that Allow contributors to use app and Allow downloading files are enabled for the contributor.
  • Check whether the file contains Sensitive Fields.
  • Download the file as the owner if the file contains sensitive fields.
  • Review the denied data areas shown in the warning.
